From day one, I was blown away by the respect and inclusiveness demonstrated by our senior leadership team, and the many benefits available to Suncoast employees to progress and develop in their professional careers. Today, as a Relationship Specialist Supervisor, I have had the opportunity to train, provide support and empower others to do the same. The fulfilment you receive from helping others, realizing you made an impact in their life is very rewarding!

Suncoast has given me the opportunity to grow my career and advance in leadership. I started Suncoast as a Teller and have worked my way up to my current role as Director of Service Center Operations. I believe in Suncoast’s culture, commitment to our members, and I appreciate knowing Suncoast values the thoughts and opinions of every one of their team members.

- Director, Service Center Operations

Starting out as a Teller, I had no banking experience and just a high school diploma. Now as a Senior Member Advocate, Suncoast has provided many opportunities for professional development and has helped me in my pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. At Suncoast I feel appreciated and I love knowing they care about my professional development just as much as I do!

Our team participates in an annual Pay It Forward Day every October, letting our entire company go out into the community and volunteer for causes they care about. In 2021, our team volunteered 2,667 hours, valued at nearly $77,000 just on Pay It Forward Day alone.

All year long, Suncoast offers our employees the opportunity to volunteer and participate in local community events. We even offer eight paid hours of volunteer time every year to all employees.

Student Run Branches
Our student run branches let K-12 students get experience working with Suncoast employees in scaled-down credit union branches.
Students gain skills and understanding that enhance their resumes and give them a competitive edge when applying for jobs and college.

Academy of Finance (AOF) Internship Program
Our partnership with the Academy of Finance in Hillsborough County Schools gives students from Armwood, Brandon, Chamberlain and Jefferson High Schools an opportunity to receive professional development and work experience through our AOF Summer Internship Program. Summer internships for AOF students typically run during the summer months.

Collegiate Internship Program
Suncoast Credit Union values education and talent. Our collegiate internship program provides college students with a chance to gain valuable work experience in a number of different departments, allowing students to focus on an area that supports their future career goals. This 10-week internship program is ideal for junior and senior students looking for an opportunity to learn about the financial industry.
